Bruce & Anne Shepard Reach Your Peak Scholarship

The Bruce and Anne Shepard Reach Your Peak Scholarship provides awards for high-achieving, high-potential students funded by community donors. To qualify, you must be a Colorado resident, working towards a first undergraduate degree, enroll full-time, have and maintain at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA, show financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the ASSET Student Financial Aid Application, and work at least part-time during the academic year. Applicants with an EFC greater than $10,000 will most likely not qualify. The scholarship may be renewed for a total of four consecutive years. Recipients are expected to be campus leaders, top students, and graduate within four years. Scholarships are not automatically renewed; however, students are encouraged to reapply each year. Recipients will participate in a supplemental support program designed to enhance their educational experiences at UCCS. Freshmen finalists will be contacted to attend an interview in March. Transfer students and continuing UCCS student finalists will be contacted for an in-person interview in April.

Award notifications for new freshmen will be made in early April. Transfer and continuing UCCS students will be notified in May.

    Bruce & Anne Shepard Reach Your Peak Scholarship recipients are expected to be campus leaders, top students, and graduate within four years. Recipients will be expected to participate in a supplemental support program designed to enhance their educational experiences at UCCS, enroll full-time each semester, will work at least part-time during the upcoming school year (unless caring for a dependent or qualify for a work waiver), and maintain at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
