UCCS Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

The UCCS Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is a merit-based award for students transferring to UCCS from a community college who have been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship will only be awarded to students who transferred in to UCCS from a community college in Spring 2024, Summer 2024, or Fall 2024. Students must transfer at least 45 credits directly from community college coursework with a 3.25 cumulative GPA. Students must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for the award.

Applicants will be notified of scholarship results in July.

  2. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship will only be awarded to students who transferred in to UCCS from a community college in Spring 2024, Summer 2024, or Fall 2024. If you were admitted before those semesters your application will not be considered. Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. In a MINIMUM OF 150 WORDS, how have your experiences as a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member shaped your academic success and led you to reach your short and long-term goals? MAXIMUM OF 400 WORDS allowed. Essays will be ranked based upon content, length, grammar, spelling, organized structure, and attention to detail. You are encouraged to write an essay that grabs the attention of the reader by being creative and using rich language.
