The Territorial Daughters of Colorado

Territorial Daughters of Colorado was established in 1910 to preserve and perpetuate the pioneer history of the State of Colorado. The Southern Chapter was started in the San Luis Valley in 1940. The Chapter now encompasses all of Southern Colorado.

One of the main missions of the Territorial Daughters of Colorado (TDC) is to promote educational activities and the study of history. To fulfill this part of our mission, the State Board of the Territorial Daughters of Colorado annually offers a scholarship to women studying history in college. The scholarship is offered each year to college and university level students in their junior and senior years, or Masters Degree Candidates.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs does not select scholarship recipients based upon gender. External scholarship providers who award gender based awards may be listed on our website, but do not receive administrative or financial support from the University.
