LIVE Leadership Scholarship

Open to incoming first year freshmen, the Launching Integrity, Values and Excellence (LIVE) Leadership Program combines co-curricular training, mentorship and applied campus leadership experience with an emphasis on civic engagement. Admission to the Program is paired with a four year, LIVE Leadership Scholarship. Qualifying students must have a 3.0 HS GPA. LIVE Leaders are expected to complete the one year LIVE Program including enrollment in the LIVE Leadership GPS 1010 class in the fall and attending bi-monthly leadership seminars in the spring. LIVE Leaders will continue to participate in LIVE projects and special events each year. In addition, LIVE Leaders must maintain co-curricular involvement on campus throughout the duration of their time at UCCS and make progress toward the UCCSlead Transformative Leadership certificate.   1. The LIVE Leadership Program is committed to connecting emerging student leaders with opportunities to engage in the campus community. In a MINIMUM OF 200 WORDS, describe a time when you were an active participant within a community. What did you learn from that experience that will help you to become an involved citizen of UCCS? MAXIMUM OF 500 WORDS allowed. Essays will be ranked based upon content, length, grammar, spelling, organized structure, and attention to detail. You are encouraged to write an essay that grabs the attention of the reader by being creative and using rich language.
