Roberto Saldana Empowerment Scholarship

The Roberto Saldana Empowerment Scholarship supports students who want to improve their lives through education, contribute to society and make a difference in their communities through education who otherwise would not be able to attend college without financial assistance. The scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students (sophomore standing or higher) with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and demonstrate financial need by submitting the FAFSA by March 1. This scholarship is renewable for up to three years during a recipient’s undergraduate studies and the renewal is dependent on meeting the established criteria upon selection.

The donor expressed a strong desire to encourage applications from Hispanic women. However, the selection of the winners will be based upon the merit of submitted materials, and will not take into consideration an applicant’s status in any of the protected class categories.

Recipients will be notified of scholarship results in May.
