UCCS Community Support Scholarship

The UCCS Community Support Scholarship is funded by community donors to help students who have used all available financial aid resources, including loans.

You may complete the UCCS Community Support Scholarship Application to apply for assistance to cover a one-time unexpected financial hardship, which is impacting your ability to complete classes. Examples may include the following, but any unexpected financial hardship may be taken into consideration:

  • Unpaid tuition, fees, books

  • Car repairs

  • Medical expenses

  • Child care

  • Utilities

  • Unpaid rent or housing expenses

Applicants must be degree-seeking, have a completed FAFSA or ASSET Student Financial Aid Application on file with UCCS, and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. Students who have not used all available financial aid, including student loans, are unlikely to qualify. International students do not qualify.

Award amounts vary depending on the nature of the situation, but generally do not exceed $2,000. Should your unexpected financial hardship exceed $2,000, please explain how you plan to cover the remaining costs if awarded.

Applicants will be notified of results within one month of the application deadlines listed above.
