Non-Traditional Student Scholarship

UCCS offers a variety of scholarships for students of non-traditional age (25 years or older), who plan to enroll full-time, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, are Colorado residents, and are working on their first undergraduate degree. To qualify, students must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA . Childcare scholarships are also available to recipients who submit verification of childcare expenses each semester. Women who are returning to college after divorce or other exceptional life circumstances are especially encouraged to apply, however, an applicant’s gender will not be considered a factor in the recipient selection process. Veterans, Reservists, and Active Duty students are also highly encouraged to apply. Recipients chosen to receive one of the non-traditional student scholarships, will be asked to participate in supplemental programming to help support their overall success. Recipients of non-traditional student scholarships at UCCS can apply for a limited number of graduate awards if they choose to pursue a UCCS graduate program.

Scholarship programs such as the Karen Possehl Women’s Endowment and the Dona and Floyd Hildebrand Endowed Scholarship are awarded from this applicant pool.

Applicants will be notified of scholarship results in June.
