Strother Taylor Family Scholarship

Julia Ann “Judy” Strother was a longtime resident and an active member in the Colorado Springs community. Judy’s father, General Dean Coldwell Strother, served in several positions in the military and assisted in the opening of NORAD. Judy’s grandfather, Dr. Thomas U. Taylor, was a civil engineer and the first dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Texas from 1907-1936. This scholarship will provide funding to undergraduate students in the UCCS College of Engineering and Applied Science and outstanding graduating high school students with a strong desire to enter the profession of engineering. This scholarship is both need-based and merit based.

Selected applicants will be notified in April.
