Kennedy First Generation Scholarship

The Kennedy First Generation Scholarship awards first-generation undergraduate students at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). Ideal recipients will have grown up in, and graduated from a high school in a rural community. For the purpose of awarding this scholarship, a rural community is generally defined as a less dense and sparsely populated area of fewer than 20,000 residents. To qualify, students must demonstrate financial need by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students with a GPA of 3.0 or greater are especially encouraged to apply. Scholarships will be awarded for one academic year and are renewable based on criteria established by the University.
